My Story

My interest in Physical medicine and rehabilitation began I was a medical student on rotation at Rancho Los Amigos Hospital. I witnessed the inspiring recovery of those involved in traumatic accidents, including those with traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury and strokes. The process of rehabilitation is complicated and individual, requiring a team of doctors, therapists, family and friends, and most importantly the motivation and determination of the patient themself.

After finishing my residency at UCI I worked in inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation and pain management. I have seen complicated cases in pain management including patients with multiple spine surgeries, autoimmune diseases severe headaches, and fibromyalgia.

My approach now involves using functional medicine, diet, nutrition, and lifestyle changes and the integration of complementary and alternative medicine in the treatment and prevention of pain and chronic disease. As an osteopathic physician, I believe that a person is a unit of body, mind, and spirit and that treatment is based upon understanding the basic principles of body unity, self-regulation, and the interrelationship of structure and function.
